Eivind Ueland, a copywriter who has created campaigns for such high-profile clients as Anheuser-Busch, Dunkin' Donuts, Novartis and John Hancock, has joined independent Allen & Gerritsen in Watertown, Mass., as creative director. Ueland was most recently a copywriter and associate creative director at IPG-owned Hill, Holliday in Boston. In his new post, he reports to CCO Gary Greenberg, who said: "I love Eivind's passion. His experience, talent and perspective will infuse the agency with fresh new ideas that will grow our existing client base and allow us to win more national and global business."
Hill, Holliday Taps Herbert for Strategy
Boston-based Hill, Holliday has appointed Dirk Herbert as the agency's chief strategy officer. He will report to shop president Karen Kaplan. Herbert joins from Hill's IPG sibling McCann Erickson in San Francisco, where he served as the head of strategy and planning on Microsoft's portfolio of global IT campaigns and HP's consumer PC business. Prior to joining McCann, he co-led the strategy practice on the global IBM account at Ogilvy & Mather. On the client side, he has held senior-level strategy roles at companies like Apple and Disney.
