Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers stars in truTV's first Super Bowl commercial. The ad, from Grey in New York, promotes the premiere of NFL Contact with a Groundhog Day theme.

In the commercial, a pint-sized Polamalu is yanked out of a tree stump by his wild mane. When he sees his shadow, six more weeks of football is declared with the debut of the new series the day after the game.

"[The Super Bowl is] a great way to attract new fans to the network and introduce them to NFL Full Contact, a show that will give viewers unique access to the real people behind six of the NFL's largest events," said Marc Juris, evp and general manager of truTV. "There are a lot of NFL stars, but only Troy was a perfect fit for this spot."

The commercial is scheduled to air on Feb. 7 during the second quarter of the game.
